Welcome to YFC Elite Basketball Association

Welcome to YFC Elite, where basketball meets community, development, and opportunity. We are a grassroots, family-driven association built for players who want to grow their skills, confidence, and love of the game.

PROGRAMS

U18 Boys (Nov/25-Apr/26)

Our U18 program is for high school-aged players who want to play, learn, and grow—even if they’re not on a school team. With experienced coaches, we focus on skill development, teamwork, and building confidence in a supportive, competitive environment. Everyone gets a chance to improve, have fun, and be part of a team.

Join the Madness (and Call It Volunteering)!

Think you can handle a little chaos, a lot of basketball, and the occasional “why didn’t anyone tell me that would happen?” moment? Perfect. YFC Elite Basketball is always looking for volunteers—coaches, helpers, cheerleaders, snack-table ninjas… you name it. Click the link, fill out the form, and we promise someone from the association will reach out before you realize you’ve just signed up for a full-court adventure.

Resources & Links (a.k.a. The Stuff You’ll Ask Us For Anyway)

Need schedules? Rules? Forms? That drill you forgot five minutes after practice? Yeah, it’s all here. Click around, save yourself some emails, and maybe even look like you’ve got it all together.

Basketball New Brunswick

If you’re the type who reads rulebooks for fun (we won’t judge… much), or you just want to know what’s happening in the wider basketball world, check out Basketball New Brunswick.  They’re basically the mothership of basketball in our province. Think Jedi Council, but with whistles instead of lightsabers

Basketball Canada

If you’ve ever wondered who decides things like jersey guidelines/rules, national team news, or why Canadians insist on spelling ‘favourite’ with a “u,” you’ll find it all at Canada Basketball.  They’re the big bosses of hoops in this country—kind of like the Avengers, but with more clipboards and way less spandex

Looking for Games?

This is where coaches register their teams and line up matchups that actually make sense (instead of watching your U14s get dunked on by kids with mustaches). It even tracks scores, so you’ve got receipts when you claim your team ‘only lost by a little.

Basically—it’s the coach’s toolbox, and you’ll want it.

National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)

Great news: coaching is more than just rocking a clipboard like Phil Jackson. The NCCP
is where Canadian coaches level up—resources, training, and all the good stuff that makes you look like you actually know what you’re talking about. Think of it as Hogwarts for coaches, minus the robes (unless that’s your thing)

Frequently Asked Questions

What programs do you offer?

For the 2025-2026 season we are offering a U18 boys division

When does the U18 Boys program begin?

We expect to have our tryouts the final week of November 2025.  Please check back for any changes as the time draws closer.

What is your registration costs?

We’re still finalizing registration costs for this season, but our goal is to keep fees as low as possible while still covering the essentials—like gym time, referees, and equipment. Last year’s costs can give you a general idea, and we expect this year to be in a similar range. We’re committed to making basketball accessible for families, so we’ll share exact numbers as soon as they’re confirmed.

When will registration open?

We are aiming for registration to open sometime in the first week or two of October.  Please check back often on our social media platforms for both facebook and instagram for further announcements.  We want to respect the high school process and allow those teams to be chosen first.

Can you play YFC Elite and still participate in other programs?

Yes, players are welcome to participate in other programs while playing with YFC Elite. That said, one of our priorities is to make sure athletes who don’t have another place to play still get that chance. While it’s not the only factor in our decisions, it may be something we consider during the tryout process as we work to balance opportunities for all players
